We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Avionics Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of avionics systems for our rocket vehicles. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including propulsion, structures, aerodynamics to ensure seamless integration and functionality. As an Avionics Engineer, you will contribute to the advancement of our space exploration goals by providing innovative solutions and implementing state-of-the-art technologies.

Responsibilities:

Develop avionics systems for rocket vehicles, including flight computers, telemetry systems, navigation systems, and power distribution systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of avionics systems into the overall vehicle design, considering factors such as size weight, power consumption, and electromagnetic compatibility.

Conduct detailed analysis, simulations, and modeling of avionics components and systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.

Perform system-level testing, including functional testing, environmental testing, and electromagnetic interference testing, to verify the performance and reliability of avionics systems.

Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to avionics systems during development, testing, and launch operations, and propose effective solutions.

Work closely with suppliers and vendors to evaluate and select avionics components, ensuring they meet the required performance, quality, and reliability standards.

Contribute to development of embedded software for avionics systems, ensuring seamless integration and effective communication between hardware and software components.

Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in avionics technologies, space systems, and industry standards, and propose innovative solutions to enhance the performance and efficiency of avionics systems.
Who You Are
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in the design, development, and testing of avionics systems for aerospace or rocket applications.

Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit design, digital and analog electronics, signal processing, and power systems.

Proficiency in PCB design tools and software. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to avionics systems, such as DO-178C, DO-254, or MIL-STD-461.

Experience with system-level testing and troubleshooting of avionics systems, including environmental and electromagnetic interference testing.

Experience with embedded software development in C++. Familiarity with real-time operating systems and common digital communication methods for embedded processors.
